you hookey playaaaaa!!

y'all love to play hookey?

so do i.

i’ve been feeling like i’m in a rut lately. after an awesome three and a half day vacation in the queen city of the south, i’m now back in manille where i’m mister support software engineer, at your service, bai.

back to my old self with my old problems. not that they’re too much to handle, i’m just feeling a little down in the dumps with everything that’s been going on around me. it’s like everything is happening too fast and too slow at the same time. confusing, ain’t it? i wouldn’t even bother explaining.

yesterday, i met up with my very good friend who’s the sister of my very very good business partner. we had this okay dinner at this okay restaurant after exchanging pleasant pleasantries. we’re cool like that.

what’s even cooler is the rodeo of a ride we had when i was taking her home. i was driving like i usually do but something unusual happened. we got pulled over by a seemingly uninteresting traffic enforcer because, apparently, i was swerving. uninteresting officer now seemed more interesting when he began talking.

turns out, he has this cool english accent that i couldn’t even dream of having in a lifetime. and, oh wait, he looked at my friend and noticed that she wasn’t wearing her seat belt when we got pulled over. officer, it’s okay to add another offense, but stop checking out my friend, please. it’s not right. ha-ha.

anyway. so that was my first offense since i got my driver’s license. and yeah, i’m too busy to get my driver’s license from your make-believe office, officer. you really squeezed us dry by making us hand over five purple bills innocently to your guilty hand. but whatever. we had fun just talking to you. and thanks for saying i’m not an arrogant driver and that i am, in fact, a good driver. merry christmas.

i just wish i could’ve recorded our conversation so that i’d have something to listen to whenever i feel shitty.
